Adding New Webcams

Adding Cams Listed in the "NewCams" (Special) menu.

Simply select the desired webcam in the "NewCams" menu and press the " Add/New Webcam" button. The "Add New Cam" dialog box will appear with all the information available for that webcam auto filled.
Adding Cams using your web browser.

In the web browser find the page where the webcam you want to collect is displayed. For this example you can use our webcam located at "http://www.catdis.com/catcam.html".

 
From the web browser drag the cam picture to the iCamMaster browser window, iCamMaster will immediately connect to the webcam URL, when the connection is done the cam picture will be displayed.

Press the " Add/New WebCam" button and the URL field will be automatically filled, manually fill the rest of the fields.

Make sure the web cam picture is not a link, in that case press the mouse button on the picture until the web browser's contextual menu appears, select "Open image in new window".

The "Add/New Webcam" dialog box allows to specify all the information available to store a new webcam.

 

  • Name: The name for this webcam. This is the name that will appear in the webcam's list.
  • The update rate (15, 30 , 60 etc. seconds).
  • URL: The address of the image for this webcam.
  • Info: Type additional info on the webcam. This info will appear on the info field of the browser's window.
  • Email: Type the email address for this webcam, this will allow you to send messages to this webcam owner directly from iCamMaster.
  • ICQ#: Type the ICQ number for this webcam, this will allow you to send messages to this webcam owner directly from iCamMaster.
  • File Location: Select in the list the folder where the new cam will be placed.
